Let's pretend this post, along with the other ones that I'm going to get up, were timely posted. No?!? Whatever! I am interpreting NaBloPoMo as requiring 30 posts in 30 days. If I miss a day (or two or four) and double (or quadruple) post, I can! It's my blog!!
Last Thursday night, I was at an event for my husband's work. One of his co-workers was wearing a great looking black-and-white dress with black tights and a skinny red belt. She's adorable and the ensemble looked terrific, but what really caught my eye was her shawl. It was gorgeous and looked so darn familiar. I asked her if she knit it and she said no -- her mom did. So, I did what any curious knitter does - I asked her to ask her mom about it. Guess what? It's Roses Are Red by Rose Beck. So, despite the fact that I'm supposed to be knitting a sweater this month, I immediately stash dove and cast on this shawl. I couldn't help myself.
That's a great pattern and one I haven't knit. I have made And So Are You and Sugared Violets, though, and I love them both.

Ha! How serendipitous! It's been in my queue forever. Is that the yarn you got at Fiber Revival?
