HEY!!! Thought I'd check in for a post! (And to knock Carole's socks off!) I was compelled by this week's Ten on Tuesday's subject to post. I've been much more into knitting lately than I've been for a while -- who knows, I may even get totally crazy and post more.
As many of you know, I am a serial repeat knitter. When I find a pattern that I like, I knit it multiple times. So much so that I have 11 patterns that I came up with pretty quickly. No doubt there are more multiples out there, but 11 will suffice.
1. First, let's talk scarves. I LOVE scarves! And, accordingly, I have knit A LOT of them -- some multiple times. I adore Besotted -- it's on my banner! I've knit it twice -- one in cashmerino and once in Ultra Alpaca. LOVE it.
2. Fog Lifter. I've knit this baby twice -- both as gifts. It's very straight-foward and looks totally awesome. Plus, Susan is my friend and that makes it even more fun to knit. I'm going to knit one for me very soon -- possibly with a gradient kit or with a skein of silver-flecked yarn -- sweet, right?
3. Multidirectional Scarf. I've knit this one twice. Another one that looks kick ass when it's done and is easy to knit. That's my kind of project. An added bonus is that this scarf is fabulouso in Noro and I LOVE Noro.
4. Citron. Another one that I knit as a gift. Good gift, right!! I just cast on another one. What I like about this pattern is that it's good game-watching/television-watching knitting and it isn't as boring as knitting socks (sorry, sock folk). You end up with a great little accessory.
5. Rounding out the scarf/shawl multiples is Baktus. I've knit this one twice, both times in Noro Silk Garden sock. Boy, do I love that nubby yarn! I am going to knit this one again with a Zauberball.
6. Let's move on to hats, shall we. I apparently have a thing for knit watch caps. Maybe it's because my husband was in the Navy. Who knows. In any event, I've knit the Marsan Watchcap two times.
7. I've also knit the Seaman's Cap two times -- one in handspun (picture above) and once in commercial yarn. Guess which one is missing?
8. I've also knit two Rose Hill Hats. This is a very cute hat and is perfect for that extra worsted weight skein hanging around. The bobbles make the hat.
9. Finally, I love a cute baby hat and Ann Norling's Fruit Caps are a classic. I have knit at least four of these, but likely more.
10. My love of multiples extends to hands. I've knit the Dashing mitts twice -- both as gifts. Easy and a great gift.
11. Finally, last by most certainly not least, is the Channel Island Guernsey. I LOVE this little sweater and have knit it three times. It's easy, really cute and looks great with kid-friendly yarn (hello Cotton-Ease).
And this doesn't count the number of squares and wash clothes that I've knit with my favorite oldie but goodie. I'm sure there are more multiples out there -- when I find a good thing, I stick with it!
