I feel asleep last night before I posted, so today I'll post twice.
Three Things I'm Thankful For:
1. Local food. We belong to both a vegetable CSA and a meat CSA. We've all long known how yummy fresh vegetables are and our CSA now goes from the Spring through the winter. It's great. I did not, however, realize the difference between meat raised on a farm versus a factory. The meat is unbelievably delicious -- we joined six months ago and have really enjoyed it.
2. Local non-profits. I've been involved in a couple of local organizations -- Danforth Museum and Jewish Family Service that enhance and enrich my community. In fact, last night (instead of posting), I was co-hosting a "Martini and Mittens" event in which we collected mittens and, well, drank "Warm Heart" martinis.
3. Co-workers. We've all been at our current place for five years this week and many of us have been together for over ten years. We've been through many events together professionally, but, even more important, shared in happy and sad personal times. My work family is an important part of my life and I'm thankful for it.
See you later!
I wish I could have joined your for martinis and mittens but Thursday night is Kiwanis night and since I'm secretary I have to be there. Your list is great- makes me wish we had a meat CSA!
