As I did last year, here's my report on 2007.
2007 Stats:
- 2 hats
- 6 scarves (7, but about to frog one because it's too small)
- 4 pairs of socks
- 1 square
- 1 shawl (2 really, but I frogged one small one)
Much less than 2006. Two of the scarves were for the Red Scarf Project and I'm proud of helping that terrific organization. I also continued to grow as a knitter and spinner, took some interesting classes at TKGA and had many fun knit/spin dates. So, let's see how I did with my goals.
2007 goals:
- Knit hat for husband. Must do. Maybe not ribbed, but black. Done! Ribbed AND black!
- Finish or frog all unfinished projects. End 2007 with only current projects on the needles. Still working on this one, but only a few things in the queue.
- Knit a lace triangle shawl or stole. Done! Knit Susan's Forest Canopy.
- Learn to Navajo ply. Done!
- Knit five pairs of socks and knit at least one pair using a non-DPN method. Close -- I knit four pairs. I still want to learn either two circs or magic loop.
- Knit Flyingdales cardigan before New Hampshire Sheep and Wool. Nope!
I'm scaling down on goals altogether for 2008, as part of my overall goal/plan to be easier on myself.
2008 goals:
- Knit more with handspun.
- Knit a sweater for me.
- Knit a pair of socks using a non-DPN method.
Happy New Year!
Excellent goals. We really need to get you going with Magic Loop!

Reasonable goals. You can pick up Magic Looping in no time! I knit some of my socks this way, and others on DPNs.

Being realistic rocks. It just plain FEELS better. I have to think about my knitting goals, now that you and others are doing this posting of intentions.

Great realistic goals!

Looks like you're going to have a good knitting year ahead (if you're knitting with your handspun - I love knitting with it!)
May it be a wonderful 2008 for you

Sounds like you got plenty done. I vote for the "more handspun" goal. It's one of mine also.

Those sound like reasonable goals. I'll even go for those myself, informally. The only knitting goal I formally set myself is to design my first triangular shawl -- which will involve knitting my first triangular shawl.
